I Voted

Did you vote? I hope you did. This morning I got up and got ready. At 10am, Sebastian, Reanna & I went to the polls and voted. Words can not explain how glad I was to see my young 18 year old daughter voting for the first time. I'm so happy to share the experience with her. I know I'm raising a young lady who believes her voice can make a difference.

The good thing is, there were NO LINES! We walked right in, signed in the log and got our voting sheets. We took a few minutes to fill them out and were out of there. After that, we went to Starbucks and got our free cup of coffee!

GO VOTE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO!!!

Good for you guys!
We voted as well. Bryan got there at 7am before work, and I went with the boys around 8. No lines for us either!
I also took the boys to an "Election Eve Party" last night. They got US President dolls, Franklin and Jefferson ;)

Linda -
I know we don't know each other, but I have found your blog and read it religously. My husband also has met malignant melanoma and his has also spread to other places. I don't know the background on your cancer, nor am I a doctor, but I have to tell you about the clinical trial he is on. We were told up front that chemo would not work (or would have a very small chance). He was sent to the City of Hope (So. Cal.) where we live, for this new trial. He is the 1st one on it. It is using a drug for kidney cancer and a new drug. It has a 10-15% chance of working to reduce the tumor/cancer (chemo had 5%) - it seems to be relieving his pain slightly, but this is only week 3. He is 41 and I am 33, and we have a 3 year old - it has been a crazy few months... as I'm sure you can imagine. I love reading your updates and wish you the very best! God bless you and your family.
